| #6615 | obsolete | Starting and stopping a VM leaves leftover VirtualBox.exe processes | ||
| Description |
Each time I start a VM, a new VirtualBox.exe process is started. However, when the VM is shutdown, the previously created process does not go away. Instead, it seems to become a zombie process. The next time I start the VM, a new VirtualBox.exe process gets created. As a result, these zombie VirtualBox.exe processes accumulate until the computer is rebooted. Running VirtualBox 3.1.6 on a Windows XP Pro SP3 host with all patches current The attached file shows a process list with 4 VirtualBox.exe processes active. The first one is an active Ubuntu 10.04 guest VM. The 2nd-4th VirtualBox.exe processes are leftovers from starting and stopping an XP Pro SP3 guest multiple times. |

| #6620 | obsolete | Android debugger bridge does not work over USB | ||
| Description |
Firstly thank you for making VirtualBox. It is a truly amazing piece of software. I have noticed in both VirtualBox 3.1.6 and 3.2 beta that I am unable to use adb to connect to a usb device through virtualbox. I am using Lucid Lynx Linux 64bit host with a Windows XP 32-bit guest. The XP guest has the android sdk installed and I am trying to use adb to debug the device. I can connect the device and the adb drivers can be installed. Furthermore the command "adb devices" reveals that adb detects the device (tested on both a HTC Hero and X10). However commands such as "adb logcat" and "adb shell" result in adb printing "- waiting for device -" forever. E.g: C:\android-sdk-windows\tools>adb devices List of devices attached CB511ED1D8 device C:\android-sdk-windows\tools>adb logcat

| #6625 | obsolete | Loss of Shared folders in Windows 7 after booting (Ubuntu host) | ||
| Description |
Hi! I have installed Windows 7 in my VBox under Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. Every time I boot the Windows image I get the error message that the network folders were not found. I have added the folders via "net use" in the Windows shell and also in the GUI. Every time I marked that the folders should be added on every reboot. But it does not work. Under Windows XP I did not experience such problems. I have attached the last log file. Thanks for your help! Daniel |
