| #3200 | fixed | running mtr in guest crashes the guest => Fixed in SVN | ||
| Description |
VBox 2.1.2. Host is Ubuntu 8.10-64bit. Guest is Debian Etch 4 64-bit. I've tried both NAT and and host interface. From a command-line in my guest, I run "mtr 192.168.42.99" where that IP is at the other end of a openvpn tunnel. About 1 second after mtr starts to run, the guest completely crashes. The VBox GUI says the guest has been "aborted". I'll attach the machine log file. I've tried the same thing with a Ubuntu 8.10 32-bit guest that is not using openvpn, and did not see the crash. On my Debian guest, it crashes 100% of the time, always about 1 second after starting the network tool mtr. |

| #2528 | fixed | running ddd/gdb halts my Debian Etch 64-bit guest | ||
| Description |
Host: Ubuntu 8.04 64-bit Guest: Debian Etch 64-bit VB: 2.0.4 64-bit Guest additions installed EXCEPT for vboxadd-timesync which is disabled due to ticket #2288. Mouse integration turned off due to ticket #2306. I have a C++ application I want to debug. I start "ddd path/app" and as soon as I click on "run" my Debian Etch 64-bit guest comes to a halt. I'm presented with the following text: "A critical error has occurred while running the virtual machine and the machine execution has been stopped. For help, please see the Community section...etc... Press OK if you want to power off the machine or press Ignore if you want to leave it as is for debugging. ...etc..." I'll attach the files VBox.log and VBox.png. |

| #7540 | fixed | running WinXP in VM resets the linux kernel of the host => Fixed in SVN | ||
| Description |
I am running VIrtualBox 3.2.8 on Debian/sid, kernel 2.6.36-rc6 self compiled. When I start the Windows XP virtual machine that worked until recently, then one of the following things happens (all of them happened to me several times, on several occations):
Unfortunately the VirtualBox does not leave any traces in the syslog of the host, since the reset happens instantly and nothing is flushed to the disc. I attach a VBox.log from a run on the same day, where I also had several resets of the VM. |
