| #1577 | fixed | Host CPU usage spike with guest (windows XP) launches Yahoo Messenger | ||
| Description |
Problem Description I've attached screen shots from my gnome-system-monitor when the guest is running and not running yahoo, and also screen shots from the guest when itself is running and not running yahoo. The spike in the host is much more dramatic than the normal rise in CPU usage in the guest. In top, the usage was ~70% when guest running yahoo, and ~12% when not running. gnome-system-monitor reports this a bit differently in the screen shots, I think because it's accounting for my dual-core system. I've also included PIT log lines at the end of this post which coincide with running and terminating Yahoo messenger in the guest.

Log Lines -- The PIT lines with the high Hz correspond to running yahoo, the low ones correspond with not running it. |

| #1578 | fixed | Install fails on OSX | ||
| Description |
I am unable to install VirtualBox 1.6.0 on my Mac (system details below). Install makes it almost all the way through, then gives this error: Install Failed The following install step failed: run postflight script for Sun xVM VirtualBox Kernel Extension. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance. I have an old, non-functional version of VirtualBox installed (1.4.1-beta2) which wouldn't launch anymore, I think since I upgraded to Leopard. I have a Macbook, Leopard 10.5.2, Core2Duo 2gHz, 2Gb ram, plenty of disk space. |

| #1580 | fixed | vm went into guru meditation (pgmPoolTrackClearPageUser) | ||
| Description |
Backgroung: host machine is debian 4.0 (4GB RAM). vm is windows 2000 sp 4 (256MB RAM). While working with OpenOffice 2.4 on guest (one writer, one calc doc open), suddendly the mouse would not work (could be moved, but could not select or click) and the appeared a screen saying that the vm went into guru meditation and that I'd better file a bug report. Firefox 2.0.14 was also open. Only another vm was active at the same time (another windows 2000, same configuration) |
