#7075 fixed Appliance Import Wizard fails to looking in correct directory when importing .vmdk file half12
Description

Hi,

After installing VirtualBox v3.2.6 on Windows 7 and Solaris 10 u5 I notice there is a problem with importing the same virtual InfoBlox VM5 and VM25 appliances

When importing the VM5 and VM25 appliances on Solaris, the Virtual Appliance Import Wizard you browse to the directory where the nios-5.1r1-1-92447-2010-05-23-00-54-57-VN-5.ovf and nios-5.1r1-1-92447-2010-05-23-00-54-57-VN-disk1.vmdk files are located; then select the nios-5.1r1-1-92447-2010-05-23-00-54-57-VN-5.ovf and import. The Import wizard imports both files and creates a new Virtual Machine correctly.

When importing the same virtual appliance on Windows with the Virtual Appliance Wizard, you select the nios-5.1r1-1-92447-2010-05-23-00-54-57-VN-5.ovf file but then it can not import the nios-5.1r1-1-92447-2010-05-23-00-54-57-VN-disk1.vmdk file because it is looking in the VirtualBox HardDisk directory (searching the destination directory it is going to be copied to instead of the importing directory) so the import fails.

I have included the Virtual Appliance and a copy of the VBox.log from the Solaris 10 host as the Virtual Appliance stops with a fatal error soon after booting.

#3916 fixed Appliance export ends with error before/when finished. Foot Hills
Description

VitualBox 2.2.2 + VBoxGuestAdditions

The Host is Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit SP1 + all updates/patches. The Guest is Windows XP prof. 32 bit SP3 + all updates/patches.

The export of the Appliance (winXPprof) ends with the error message "VirtualBox Interface failure/is out of order " of the host system (vista 64bit).

Then you have to close the program VirtualBox because all machines are "resetted" to null. The import of this exported Appliance is not possible.

The export of other guest systems ends with the same error message.
