| #902 | duplicate | Virtualbox-1.5.2 is much slower than Virtualbox-1.5.0 | ||
| Description |
I was using app-emulation/virtualbox-1.5.0 to run Windows XP for some time. Windows XP was running fast as hell, faster with Virtualbox than with anything else (VMWare, qemu+kvm, even some host XP installations I saw). On 2007-11-02 I updated virtualbox to 1.5.2. with virtualbox-1.5.2 windows XP runs very slow, I can see each frame of XP menu fade effect, sounds gets distorted and cpu usage is always 100%. I downgraded virtualbox to 1.5.0 again and is working with awesome performance since then. I'm running Virtualbox-1.5.0 with AMD-SVM virtualization extension support, ACPI enabled and IO APIC disabled. I tried disabling AMD-SVM on 1.5.2 but it was also slow. So.. I can confirm this is a 1.5.2 version issue. Linux 2.6.22-gentoo-r9 AMD Turion64 X2 1.8Ghz miknix_at_gmail.com |

| #903 | fixed | CD/DVD passthrough doesn't work | ||
| Description |
Host: Windows XP SP2 and openSUSE 10.3, 4GB of RAM, Core 2 Quad, VBox 1.5.2. Guest: Windows XP. CD/DVD passthrough doesn't work. That means: I cannot burn CDs or DVDs from guest. Erasing DVD+-RW's and writing Lightscribe labels don't work either. -Technologov, 17.11.2007. |

| #904 | duplicate | Registration Time-out error | ||
| Description |
I have tried two PCs and both fail to register my name and email address on your server using v1.5.2. I removed 1.5 and then tried 1.5.2. We have a proxy server here and I suspect this is causing the problem. Thanks for letting me try this software. Alex McClintock |
