| #6116 | obsolete | Guru Meditation -2304 (VERR_REM_TOO_MANY_TRAPS) when running Windows XP guest on Ubuntu 9.10 | ||
| Description |
I have used the recovery DVDs to restore my original OS (Windows XP, Japanese localisation) to a virtual machine. The process completed. Windows then came up and started installation. After it switched back to the Windows logo it crashed with the above message. When I reboot, it will re-start the installation and crash again at the same place. The laptop is an AMD Sempron w/ 1.5 GB memory. The guest is installed to a USB harddrive. |

| #6117 | obsolete | XP Pro VM vanissh at end of startup on FreeBSD 8.0 Host | ||
| Description |
Hi, My host is freeBSD 32 bits (8.0-RELEASE). Up to date. Virtualbox version is 3.1.2_OSEr56127. Up to date. The VM is XP PRO SP3 32 bits. Up to date. All was working ok until some update (I suspect some sub 3.1.2 virtualbox release) and now when I run the XP VM it starts and I can see the XP startup screen up to the point where XP would switch to the running screen resolution and display the login screen. At that point the VM vannish and the VM windows close automatically. No crash I can see. I try to understand the log with not much luck. I tried to setup or remove settings like VT / APIC / 3D acceleration and it's exactly the same. I tried to start XP in no failure mode and it's the same too. So the VM was working ok some days ago and now I cant reach the login. Can you have a look ? |

| #6118 | obsolete | Virtualbox fullscreen mode is interrupted by always-on-top toolbars | ||
| Description |
On host Windows XP it's possible to create toolbars by right-clicking on the taskbar, selecting toolbars in the popup menu and then new toolbar. Right-clicking on these toolbars shows a popup menu where always-on-top can be selected. When running VirtualBox in fullscreen mode, these toolbars and the Windows taskbar often suddenly appear in front of the VirtualBox guest! |
