| #835 | obsolete | VirtualBox is not 'aware' of Gnome Panels and covers them in Seamless mode | ||
| Description |
In Ubuntu Gutsy, using VirtualBox 1.5.2 in Seamless mode with a WinXP guest, the Windows taskbar covers the Gnome panel at the bottom of the screen instead of sitting above it. Also, windows maximized or enlarged will cover the Gnome panel at the top of the screen as well. It is as if the Seamless Mode is not aware of the Gnome Desktop. |

| #837 | fixed | NAT networking connection lost after making new snapshot => Fixed in 1.5.4 | ||
| Description |
NAT networking works perfectly until I make a snapshot. Immediately after that I get "temporary failure in name resolution" errors, i.e. that the system can no longer contact the DNS server. Attempts to connect using IP address fail with "no route to host". Retrying does not help. If I revert to that same snapshot and restart the VM, the _first_ attempt to e.g. scp a file will mostly fail. However, a second attempt will succeed. After that, networking is completely reliable again. This issue is 100% reproducible. Context: Using a Debian Installer CD image to install a new system Host system: Pentium D SMP x86_64 system running Linux 2.6.23 VM: VirtualBox 1.5.2 running 2.6.22 kernel This report is based on my mail to the user list: http://vbox.innotek.de/pipermail/vbox-users/2007-October/002362.html |
