| #12782 | fixed | After upgrading to 4.3.8, missing environment for command prompt started using vboxmanage guestcontrol exec command | ||
| Description |
I am running a VM with Windows 7 x32 as the guest OS and Windows 7 x64 as the host OS. I execute the following command to start a command prompt in the VM: vboxmanage guestcontrol "Win 7 - 32" exec --verbose --image cmd.exe --username user --password password --wait-stdout --wait-stderr -- "/C start cmd" The command completes successfully and the prompt is started. But, the environment setup for the command prompt is incorrect. It does not contain anywhere close to all the defined variables that should be present. Following is the output when a "set" command is run in the prompt:
C:\Windows\system32>set C:\Windows\system32> This issue was not present when I was running 4.3.6 (VirtualBox and Guest Additions). I started seeing this problem only after upgrading to 4.3.8. I run a automated build environment in the VM and having the right environment set is important for the build to succeed. As there is no crash I have not included any log files. If they are needed I can upload them. Any/all help will be appreciated. |

| #15326 | worksforme | After upgrading to 5.0.18 Guest Additions some Linux windows appearing as black rectangles -> duplicate of #15417. | ||
| Description |
I have VB running on a Windows 10 PC as host. I upgraded from 5.0.16 to 5.0.18. After updating a Linux Mint 17.3 Cinnamon VM to Guest Additions 5.0.18 applications such as Chrome and GitKraken now come up as black rectangles. These are front of screen so other windows are hidden behind them and the VM is unusable. Some windows such as the terminal and the file explorer are OK. 3D support is switched on. |

| #6485 | invalid | After upgrading to version 3.16 guest additions all my XP Sp3 vm's go into a boot loop | ||
| Description |
After upgrading to version 3.16 all was well but when I intalled the guest additions all my XP Sp3 vm's go into a boot loop.(XP Logon Dialog shows and then immediately reboots) After messing around with this and totally stuffing up windows on two VM's I reverted back to version 3.14 and all is working fine again. However the VM's that I upgraded to guest additions 3.16 remain broken even after uninstalling the guest additions. After using and promoting Virtual Box for a long time, I am so hacked off that I am going to move to VMWare. |
