| #2627 | fixed | starting VirtualBox on WinXP dual core hangs | ||
| Description |
I've just installed VirtualBox 2.0.4 on my Windows XP SP2 desktop machine. On trying to start VirtualBox, I see a process called VBoxSVC.exe jump to 100% cpu utilisation of one of the two processor cores and stay there. This process is only using 5Mb of ram but stays steady at 100% usage of one of the cores until I terminate it in the task manager. There's also one process called VirtualBox.exe present that consumes no cpu and only about 7.8Mb of ram. However, I get no gui app to start or create VMs and VBoxSVC.exe stays at 100% cpu usage. |

| #13146 | obsolete | starting Chrome breaks networking with nat dns proxy mode enabled | ||
| Description |
I'm using OpenSuse 12.3 64bit inside the latest VirtualBox release. The host is running Windows 7. I changed opensuse to use the Networkmanager and enabled the nat dns proxy https://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch09.html#nat-adv-dns Starting Chrome V35 or chromium completely stops the networking. Evverthing works fine with the same image on VMware |
