| #1378 | fixed | "Lost Mode Switch?" Ubuntu Gutsy ISO boot | ||
| Description |
Reporting at Klaus' request. Was testing to see if Gutsy still started at 800x600 res in 1.5.6. First boot, for some reason, gnome-panel did not launch. Rather than looking into it, shut down machine, tried a 2nd boot. On 2nd boot, the screenshot attached was the result. No further activity. Seems to pick up a res greater than 1024x768 while booting BTW. Third boot, booted normally. 800x600, gnome-panel, everything typical. So, this is not at all reproducible. |

| #1379 | fixed | Memory Leak 100% CPU -> fixed in 1.6 | ||
| Description |
Running VB version 1.5.6-1, Windoze host Windoze Guest: Both OSs: Windows XP SP2 all updates On the guest, I connect my cell modem via Activsync, then a utility named PdaNet which then allows for internet access on the Windows guest. There is no other networking enabled on the guest. After about 1-2 hours of streaming music on the guest via the cell modem VituralBox.exe is using 100% CPU and the sound starts skipping to the Windows host. If I let it go long enough (3-4 hours) VitualBox.exe will use > 500meg, pretty much use all available memory. Here is the importand part: This seems to happen only when streaming music, it doesn't matter where from either! If I watch the memory usage in task manager for VitualBox.exe the memory is increasing on par with the amount downloaded/streamed! And If i stop the stream/download, the memory usage stops increasing!! But at no point is the volume ever purged, I have to reboot the guest. |

| #1380 | fixed | keystrokes missing with VirtualBox | ||
| Description |
Laptop Setup: Host: Ubuntu Linux Gutsy Guest: WinXP SP2 When I run VirtualBox I noticed that some keystrokes get lost. I tested this with typing in a terminal window with VirtualBox running and not running, but it happens everywhere. It occurs in the Virtualbox window (so in the guest), but also in all my linux Apps running. Interestingly, when I pause my guest OS (Host+P), the problems go away. I also noticed that my synaptics touchpad misses strokes with my finger under the same conditions. They also get lost and not delayed. With an usb mouse no such problem is noticed. I don't think I had this problem right away. But I can't pinpoint when it started... I tried to relate it CPU, but the problems do not exist with a "find /". Then no input gets lost. Also relating it to memory usage does not make sence, since then pausing VirtualBox would not help. |
