#1862 fixed Serial port and networking problems Matthias
Description

Serial port: I got the serial port working and use GTKTerm on my Fedora 9 guest to use it as a console. As long as I do not connect/disconnect an optical drive/image it works properly. If I connect or disconnect a optical drive I don't see any output of the serial port in the terminal windows although there should be. The only way to solve the problem is to restart the the virtual machine. The serial port is configured as host-interace.

Networking: sometimes on startup the vm does not connect to the bridged host interface. I also loose the connection if I restart a suspended/hibernated vm.

#11262 obsolete Installer says out of disk space Cyfry
Description

Virtual Box 4.2.4 Windows 7 SP1 64bit

Virtual Box installer claims out of disk space when there is clearly enough disk space. The installer believes that 29GB of free space is smaller than 168MB. I think there is bad math in the function that checks free space. This error has existed in several versions now and have been stuck on v 4.0.8 for some time.

#1214 fixed Guest Additions 1.5.6 for Linux doesn't configure Xorg to use vboxvideo in Ubuntu Hardy (and probably other distros that use Xorg 7.3) Cyphase
Description

Previously Guest Additions for Linux didn't even configure mouse integration in Ubuntu Hardy, and probably any other distro that uses Xorg 7.3, but that was fixed in 1.5.6 ( http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/1165 ). However, it still doesn't properly configure video. It should add the line

Driver "vboxvideo"

to xorg.conf in the "Device" section. You can do this manually until it's fixed.
