| #5879 | obsolete | USB flash drive not attached in VBox 3.1.2 for ecomstation guest | ||
| Description |
I have Ecomstation Silver (RC7) version working in VBox 3.0.12 which detects and attaches my USB flash drive fine. Upgrading to VBox 3.1.2 has broken the USB flash attachment. Vbox 3.1.2 sees the USB flash (so that it can be checked in the USB menu) but does not attach it so that Ecomstation can see it. Furthermore, after the failed attempt by vbox to attach the USB drive, networking stops in the ecomstation guest. |

| #5880 | obsolete | Network Problem : Host-only Adapter | ||
| Description |
Hello! I was running VirtualBox v3.1.0 windows version on a: HOST : MS Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 GUEST : MS Windows XP SP3 That guest only have 1 network adapter : 'Host-only adapter' After the new release I've decided to up-to-date my VirtualBox from v3.1.0 to the new v3.1.2. Everything went smoothy. But now with the new version 'v3.1.2' and without any other changes except 'Guest Addictions' update, the network fails to be able to comunicate with the host and vice-versa. I have no custom configurations at either network cards nor host's or guest's. And further questions you can relay them to my email. Thanks in advance. |

| #5881 | obsolete | Wolf4GW + D3X under FreeDOS doesn't work with VT-X enabled (VBox 3.1.2, Vista 32-bit host) | ||
| Description |
This is fairly obscure, but I thought it was worth noting anyways as it's almost definitely a bug: I recompiled Wolf4GW (Wolfenstein 3D) with OpenWatcom, UPX'd it, and attached the D3X DOS extender to it. I put this on a bootable FreeDOS floppy image (XMS only, so this isn't related to potential EMM386 bugs). It works fine on real hardware (tested several machines). However, it just hangs at startup in VirtualBox (even 3.1.2) with VT-X enabled. If I unpack it and use WDOSX instead, it will work (although slightly jittery and without sound, which is not a surprise give VBox's DOS compatibility). Yes, I can disable VT-X otherwise and then D3X will work, but that makes it MUCH!! slower (10x) to unpack (probably paq8f's fault, esp. detecting/using SSE2). So something isn't being emulated properly for D3X compared to WDOSX. (P.S. D3X hasn't been updated since 2004, and since it was hosted on the now-dead Geocities free pages, I've had to mirror it myself.) http://www.chaos-software.de.vu/ http://sites.google.com/site/rugxulo/d3x-090h.zip?attredirects=0 http://tippach.business.t-online.de/wdosx/ -- Rugxulo (rugxulo _AT_ gmail _DOT_ com) |
