#614 fixed VirtualBox hangs on "Starting the virtual machine... 0%" Nolan
Description

When starting a VM with VirtualBox 1.5, it hangs on "Starting the virtual machine..." at 0%. I am forced to use kill -9 to kill the process - it hangs indefinitely. The dmesg output is below:

#615 fixed VirtualBox 1.5.0 segfaults when the the QT UI throws a warning about audio devices that could not be opened. => fixed in SVN Andrew
Description

Hi,

The VirtualBox 1.5.0 QT UI segfaults when I have ALSA sound enabled on any of my VM's. Fortunately It looks to me like it's just an issue with string handling when the "Some audio devices could not be opened" warning box is displayed. Switching to the OSS option works around this issue (Because under OSS I don't get that warning although sound seems to work fine using ALSA).

Full multi threaded back trace attached.
