when i start the vbox application it crashes into a blue screen immediately. motherboard is gigabyte p35-ds3 (bios f12) cpu is core 2 duo 6320 running xp sp2. this seems to be different to ticket #582 because virtualbox directly crashes. i updated my bios to the newest version (f12) and disabled the virtualization-enhancement feature in the bios and it still crashes. |

My hardware and software configuration : Athlon 64x2 4200+ nVidia GeForce 8500GT Host OS : Ubuntu 7.10 Desktop with nvidia-glx-new driver and Compiz Fusion enabled Guest OS : Ubuntu 7.10, OpenSuSE 10.3, CentOS 5.1 The mouse pointer cannot be captured when Compiz Fusion is enabled under my configuration. However, my friend's Lenovo ThinkPad T61 (Intel Core 2 Duo T7250, nVidia Quadro NVS 140M display card) running Ubuntu 7.10 host with Compiz Fusion enabled and Windows XP SP2 guest but no such problem. When attempting to install AsteriskNOW (rPath linux + Anaconda), I always reach a point (seemingly random) where the VM crashes. I have little indication of the problem source other than what the Logs contain. Host info OS: Debian GNU/Linux "Lenny" Kernel: 2.6.22-3-686 I've attached the VM sesssion log. |
