| #13762 | obsolete | "Not syncing: An NMI occurred" kernel panic | ||
| Description |
Hi all, we're experiencing several kernel panics with vboxdrv on a brand new HP ProLiant DL560 G8. We currently have Virtualbox 4.3.20 installed with about 15-20 vm running with both Windows and Linux OS. Attached you'll find screenshots of panic errors got from ILO Remote Console. We also tried to reinstall different x86_64 Linux distributions (CentOS 6.6, Oracle Linux 6.6, Red Hat 6.5) and different Virtualbox packages (4.3.10, 4.3.18, 4.3.20) but panics still occurred. The panic event is random and we're unable to reproduce it. It occurs after few days of activity and we would be very afraid to give up on this. Please let us know if any further info is needed. Thanks in advance. |

| #10015 | obsolete | "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" - .NET Framework 4 | ||
| Description |
PC: Windows 7 Ultimate Virtual Machine: Windows XP Professional SP3 Hi, I am trying to run an application that was developed using the .NET Framework 4. When I run it I receive the error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" along with a detailed error log. When I run this on my native OS I do not receive the error, and I have exactly the same versions of the .NET Framework installed. After receiving advice from several sources they pointed out it's most likely the Virtual Machine software, i.e. Virtualbox. The error log I get is: See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. Exception Text System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at A.R.Z() at A.R.CB(Object A, EventArgs B) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.OnLoad(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.OnCreateControl() at System.Windows.Forms.Control.CreateControl(Boolean fIgnoreVisible) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.CreateControl() at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmShowWindow(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ScrollableControl.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ContainerControl.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WmShowWindow(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) Loaded Assemblies mscorlib Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.3625 (GDR.050727-3600) CodeBase: file:///c:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.NET/Framework/v2.0.50727/mscorlib.dll PuzSol Assembly Version: 1.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 1.0.0.0 CodeBase: file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Administrator/Desktop/YPP/PuzSol%20BoS/PuzSol%20BoS.exe System.Windows.Forms Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.3623 (GDR.050727-3600) CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Windows.Forms/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Windows.Forms.dll System Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.3624 (GDR.050727-3600) CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.dll System.Drawing Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.3053 (netfxsp.050727-3000) CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Drawing/2.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Drawing.dll PuzSolPuzSolPuzSol Assembly Version: 1.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 1.0.0.0 CodeBase: file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Administrator/Desktop/YPP/PuzSol%20BoS/PuzSol%20BoS.exe System.Management Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.3053 (netfxsp.050727-3000) CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Management/2.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Management.dll JIT Debugging To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. | #6807 | fixed | "Overlapped I/O operation is in progress." windows error while using vbox | ||
| Description |
Today I got the following errors in Windows 7 Home Premium x64 while running VBox 3.2.0 with a Ubuntu 9.04 Guest: ======== [Window Title] C:\ [Content] C:\ Overlapped I/O operation is in progress. [OK] ======== I was unable to access the C: drive. Stopping virtual box altogether (close guest and close VBox GUI) seemed to resolve the issue. I got the same issue a bit later on (VBox was running again). I tried to kill virtualbox.exe process (the Ubuntu guest exe), but this did not clear the error. Re-started the guest and immediately shut it down, then closed VBox GUI. Result = C: drive usable again. Seems pretty serious. |
