| #8615 | obsolete | Damage to .vbox file for first VM renders all VMs inacessible and VM Manager empty | ||
| Description |
I have 4 VMs con figured. They are all configured similarly to the attached .vbox file. I had a situation where for unexplained reasons (subject of much discussion but no conclusion as yet) the .vbox file for the first VM that I had defined becamed 'damaged'. By this I mean that three of the 'HardDisk' entries in the 'MediaRegistry' section were removed. The relevant entries for these disks were still present in the 'AttachedDevice' section at the end of the file. When I opened the VBox GUI, all 4 VMs were shown as 'inacessible', even though there was no problem with the .vbox files for the other three VMs, and when I opened the Virtual Media Manager that also showed as 'empty' (i.e. no media was listed). I have performed some experiments and have confirmed the following:
This behaviour isn't very nice. A problem with the .vbox file for the first defined VM should not have any impact on other VMs nor on the Virtual Media Manager. |

| #9278 | obsolete | Cannot Open ARC Files in Basis IDE with Guest OS Windows 7 on Mac OS X Host | ||
| Description |
I have VirtualBox 4.1.0 installed on my Mac OS X Host. I created a Windows 7 (64 bit) vdi Guest OS. I have properly installed Basis IDE. The Basis IDE is based on the open-source NetBeans IDE. I am able to open the .src code files, but cannot open the .arc GUI files. This means that I can create the code behind my program, but cannot easily create the look of it. When I try to open the .arc files, the Windows Guest OS crashes and tries to reboot, but freezes at the Windows Logo screen (before the Log In). If I manually "Power off the machine", it starts properly the next time. I need to be able to work on the ARC files. Is there a fix to this problem? Thanks |

| #17954 | invalid | Title bar should be colored to appear different from guest windows | ||
| Description |
I suggest to color the host title bar in order to not confuse it with the guest windows. Personally, I frequently click by mistake on the Close button of the host window, thinking I am closing a window in the guest area. It would greatly help if the host title bar, including buttons, had a different color.
I even suggest to let the user select a picture as the title bar background. That would avoid confusions even more since the picture is customized. Thank you |
