#735 fixed Bridging in Windows XP does not work properly with Wireless adapters Robert Pendell
Description

Users of Windows XP are unable to create a proper bridge against a VirtualBox Host Interface when a wireless adapter is involved. Windows XP will show that the bridge was created successfully but connectivity is not present. This is due to lack of support for promiscuous mode in the majority of wireless adapters on the market.

A workaround has been identified that will resolve the issue but is not guaranteed to work for everyone.

#736 invalid Virtual-Box Distro Live CD ethernety@…
Description

A linux that would ONLY run VirtualBox....

imagine.....you boot your OS....and the fist thing to do after is to choose your virtual OS or install one.

The advantage i guess is that the distro would be super light weith ....leaving all ressources of the hardware to VirtualBox. Because we dont want a full OS in the background running.......only an OS with the tools to make VirtualBox run.

The best would be a LIVE CD with a GUI Installer.

#737 fixed VMs very slow with realtime kernel, CPU maxed out laga
Description

Hello,

I'm running Ubuntu Gutsy amd64 with their 2.6.22-12-rt kernel and the 100.14.19 nvidia driver.

When I start a VM in Virtualbox 1.5.0, one core of my core 2 duo E6300 gets maxed out and the VM is really slow (or it's indeed hanging, but I seem to recall that it's just slow).

Steps to reproduce:

1) Install Ubuntu gutsy 2) sudo aptitude install linux-rt 3) reboot into the -rt kernel 4) recompile the vboxdrv module 5) start a VM in virtualbox and find out that's it's slow/hanging

According to the package description, the linux-rt package in gutsy contains "Ingo Molnar's full real time preemption patch (2.6.22.1-rt9)".

Regards,

Michael
