#5409 obsolete garbage appended to udp packets smaller 60 bytes with bridging mode Stefan "Bebbo" Franke
Description

UPD packets having a size below 60 bytes are sent with trailing garbage bytes:

0000 00 1c f0 68 ae a8 08 00 27 ce e0 9e 08 00 45 00 ...h.... '.....E. 0010 00 22 4b b0 00 00 80 11 59 44 c0 a8 00 ee 40 25 ."K..... YD....@% 0020 94 1b 05 0b 3e 1c 00 0e 8e e7 00 15 00 0a 97 cd ....>... ........ 0030 fa f0 25 88 00 00 01 01 05 0a dc 61 ..%..... ...a

The correct packet is:

0000 00 1c f0 68 ae a8 08 00 27 ce e0 9e 08 00 45 00 ...h.... '.....E. 0010 00 22 4b b0 00 00 80 11 59 44 c0 a8 00 ee 40 25 ."K..... YD....@% 0020 94 1b 05 0b 3e 1c 00 0e 8e e7 00 15 00 0a 97 cd ....>... ........

this happens in both directions (and is maybe the cause why the app I try to run does not work).

#5414 obsolete VBox on Mac OSX Snow Leopard - Add New Shared Folder Crashes VM Lou Cipher
Description

Hi There,

I have been looking around on the site for a similar issue and while this is simple I do not see it.

I have Snow Leopard installed and Office 2007 along with Google Chrome running regularly.

On the last two versions of Vbox (have 3.0.10 r54097 now), everytime I try to make a New Shared Folder the VM crahses whether I connect to a valid server location or not.

A bunch of months ago, I could have my Windows XP VM find my Windows Media Center server located in another room over Ethernet and some hubs and play all my music stored there or grab or save files.

However, that has not worked for some time and presumably from newer versions of Vbox I imagine since updates happen frequently and while never sure if I should upgrade I always seem to do it anyway.

So, now when I try to point to my Windows machine sharing files or just trying to add a new shared folder in the dialog box the VM crashes and I do not know why.

I attached a crash report for your reference.

If this bug has been previously logged I apologize and could not find a clear match.

#5415 obsolete VLAN tagged packets pass through fails vlabmichl
Description

My configuration: Host(s): Windows XP Pro SP 3 and Mac OS X 10.5.8 Guest: pfSense 1.2.2 and 1.2.3RC3 Networking: Interface #1: Bridge to the physcal host network, Card: Intel Pro Server Interface #2: Internal network connection to other hosts, Card: Intel Pro Server

Neither hosts NIC nor the host system itself are configured to access any of the VLANs. The physical NIC receives the plain trunk data and passes it to VirtualBox.

My target: Passing incoming tagged packets of several VLANs (as a trunk) on the hosts physical NIC into the VM through the bridge of interface1 and allow "Inter-VLAN routing" inside it.

My conclusion: I can't get ANY tagged packets inside of the VM and don't know why. I tested the EXACTLY same configuration on a physical test machine and everything works just fine. So, I'd say that the problem must reside somewhere inbetween the VirtualBox host and the guest.
