#686 fixed VBox aborts virtual machine instance with port forwarding Sven Salzwedel
Description

Hi,

I'm using VirtualBox 1.5.0 (binary version) on ArchLinux. I've got a fresh Debian Etch installation called "Debian Etch Webdev". Networksettings for the VM are default NAT settings. After enabling portforwarding as described in the documentation, the VM aborts when trying to setup networking in the VM. VirtualBox saves the attached log file into my home.

Steps to enable portforwarding:

% VBoxManage setextradata "Debian Etch Webdev" \
         "VBoxInternal/Devices/pcnet/0/LUN#0/Config/sshguest/Protocol" TCP
% VBoxManage setextradata "$1" \
         "VBoxInternal/Devices/pcnet/0/LUN#0/Config/sshguest/GuestPort" 22
% VBoxManage setextradata "$1" \
         "VBoxInternal/Devices/pcnet/0/LUN#0/Config/sshguest/HostPort" 22
#687 duplicate Belgian keyboard layout is wrong vatbier
Description

Hello,

Mandriva Linux 2007.1 as host.
Windows XP as guest in VirtualBox 1.5.0.

I am using a Belgian keyboard.
I just found out that in the virtual WinXP some keypresses don't work or are the wrong ones:
"!" is printed as "=". There are about 15 keys that don't work:
§6littlehat(as this wiki can't display that character), !8, -_, littlehat umlaut(like ü), '(the one of ù%), µ£`, =+

In Vmware Workstation the Belgian keys are correct.
Look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keyboard_layout#Belgian for the correct keys.
I hope you can fix this soon as I now have to go back to VMware in stead of using Virtualbox.

Description

When I try to create a vmdk file for my windows partition (on linux) I get the following output:

 $ vboxmanage internalcommands createrawvmdk -filename /home/me/.VirtualBox/VDI/sda2 \
-rawdisk /dev/sda -partitions 2 -mbr /boot/backup_mbr -register
VirtualBox Command Line Management Interface Version 1.5.0

Overlapping partition description areas. Aborting
Error reading the partition information from '/dev/sda'

Creating a full-disk image does work. (without the mbr stuff)
