| #537 | fixed | VirtualBox + kernel 2.6.22 causes ksoftirq oddness | ||
| Description |
Using either 1.4.0 or a recent svn version of VirtualBox, simply starting the GUI (no VM started) causes ksoftirq to go crazy and start using about 10-20% of a CPU. I didn't have this problem with a 2.6.20 kernel but it now happens every time I start VirtualBox and continues until I shut down all VirtualBox processes (though, VBoxSVC can still be running with no problems). I've tried with 2 variants of a 2.6.22 kernel and have seen the ksoftirq problem when starting VirtualBox on both. Please let me know if I can provide any more information. |
