| #4000 | fixed | Abort VBox upgrade if at least one VM is running or paused | ||
| Description |
I often used Ctrl-P to toggled the "paused" state of a Windows XP VM (Linux host). This has always worked great, however today I upgraded to 2.2.2 (r46594). The next time I tried to unpause the VM (it had been paused for many hours) an error dialog came up "Unable to resume execution..." with the error Callee RC: NS_ERROR_ABORT (0x80004004) This results in an aborted VM and loss of execution state... not fun :( OS: Ubuntu 8.10 $ apt-cache policy virtualbox-2.2 virtualbox-2.2:
... I've attached the log for this |

| #5146 | obsolete | Aborted if USB device attached during shutdown or saving state | ||
| Description |
When attempting to shut down the virtual machine (from inside the guest or by clicking "Send the Shutdown signal"), or when performing "Save the machine state", the machine status becomes Aborted. I will attach logs, one of the Aborted result during "Send shutdown signal" and one from "Save machine state". Similar symptoms were listed in #5042 and #4020, however these appear to be fixed since VirtualBox 3.0.8 (fixed as in now the machine saves state properly if no USB device is connected, where as in those tickets the problem occurred regardless of whether a USB device was present or ever attached). Many thanks again to anyone that worked on the fix so this at least it now saves state without USB devices attached. I have only confirmed this bug with MacOS 10.5.8 host and Windows XP SP3 guest, but forum posts suggest it may occur in other situations, hopefully someone else will post a log also. |

| #14841 | duplicate | Aborting VMs anytime | ||
| Description |
Hi, I use VB 5.0.10r104061 on a Windows 7 x64 host. I only have 2 VMs with Kubuntu and Lubuntu hosts so I don't know if my problem is depending on the guest system. When using any of the VMs it's ending at any time and the "aborted" message appears in the VB window. I have asked for help in the forums: https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=74573&sid=9f7636c06faeaba703b9c82de9481f1c i have tried to change options in the VMs configurations but no result. I post a log in attachment. Thank you for the help. |
