#10050 duplicate Host memory low -> Guru meditation Konstantin Vlasov
Description

Updated to 4.1.8, tried to start a Win7 guest, got Guru Meditation. From the log I see that VERR_NO_MEMORY occurred, but VB did not crash in this situation earlier.

#11274 obsolete BSOD when Win7 goes to sleep or hibernation Konstantin Vlasov
Description

Host OS: Windows 7 Pro SP1

After I install VirtualBox 4.2.4, sending the computer into Sleep or Hibernate often ends up with BSOD 0x9F (DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE). Analysing the crash dump with WinDbg indicates the network card driver in the blocked IRP stack. At first I thought it was a faulty Realtek driver, but after I deinstalled VirtualBox the problem disappeared completely. I also tried VB 4.2.2 for two weeks, and did not get any problem with this version. Only after I upgraded again to 4.2.4, the second attempt to hibernate the system gave the same BSOD again.

Attached is the WinDbg log of the crash dump with !analyze -v and !irp <blocked_IRP> commands executed.

#12464 obsolete Mouse wheel over listboxes in VirtualBox GUI makes them empty Konstantin Vlasov
Description
  1. Open the Settings dialog for any powered off VM, General page, Basic tab (opened by default).
  2. Place mouse cursor over the "Type" drop-down listbox.
  3. Scroll the mouse wheel up or down.

Result: The "Type" value is changed correctly, but the "Version" listbox becomes consisting of all the empty lines instead of correct OS versions.

Similar problems can also be reproduced with some other listboxes. Some more examples:

  • Port number of a SATA-attached storage (when changed by scroll wheel, the listbox becomes totally empty).
  • System -> Motherboard -> Chipset: when scrolling it with mouse wheel, the value is changed correctly, but "Invalid settings detected" error appears telling that a) the number of host CPUs is 0 (therefore the guest has too many CPUs assigned) and b) no more than 0 storage controllers are available for the selected chipset.
