#5215 obsolete screen does not redraw after moving window Wakou
Description

Hi folks, I think this is probably a problem with bad Windows coding, rather than a genuine flaw in vBox, but it ONLY happens when running WinXP as guest, and NOT when running WinXP native. It is a poker client/app; when in VBOX, if I move a window, the image of the original window remains persistently even over the top of other windows. It can sometimes be "cured" by bringing up the "menu" or lobby of the app, and then minimising it. It is however, VERY annoying.. The client is Lucas Poker, the client software here: http://www.lucaspoker.com/ This is an image of the problem...

#5216 obsolete GoogleEarth doesn't run in Direct3X mode after enabling+disabling RDP Oleg Kostukovsky
Description

Steps to reproduce the issue:

 1. Start guest VM with 3D acceleration and RDP server enabled
 2. If not already installed, install guest additions selecting Direct3D support and reboot VM
 3. Install GoogleEarth in your guest VM. At this point you should be able to start it in both OpenGL and DirectX modes (you can change this by going to Tools->Options in GoogleEarth).
 4. Shutdown GoogleEarth.
 5. Login to your guest from MS RDP client and attempt to start GoogleEarth. You will get black screen where Globe should appear in GoogleEarth.
 6. Shut down GoogleEarth and disconnect RDP client
 7. Attempt to start GoogleEarth again from console. You should see that attempt to start GoogleEarth in Direct3X mode will fail. OpenGL mode will still work.

I reproduced above with following host/guest combinations: Windows Vista/Windows XP and MacOS 10.5/Windows 7. I also verified that 3D support in the guest was still enabled after RDP client connection.

#5221 obsolete copy/paste from various clients to Mac host appends a NULL character to the text Mark Brighton
Description

I've encountered this problem using Mac OS 10.6.1 as the host and a Windows XP Professional client with the Guest Additions installed. Another user encountered it with a Mac host and both Ubuntu and Solaris clients.

When I copy text inside the client and paste it in the host, a NULL character is appended to the text. This seems to be independent of the client and host apps involved.

In many cases, the NULL character goes unnoticed, but it has a disastrous effect in Thunderbird. Thunderbird truncates the message at the NULL character and all text after it is lost.

This was first described in the forums: http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=23310
