#1056 fixed Enabling EHCI results in XP client lock-up Edwin Floyd
Description

Enabling USB 2.0 EHCI controller causes Win XP to lock up attempting to install the controller device. XP's hardware wizard starts, then XP stops responding. Cursor movement works, but nothing else. XP will subsequently come up normally if you force the VM down and disable the EHCI controller.

Host system is AMD 64 smp 2.6.22-14-server with Ubuntu Desktop installed and Compiz enabled. H/W is 2 x Opteron dual-core cpus, 8GB ram, 3TB s/w raid array, nVidia GeForce 7300 SE with Envy-installed driver.

Client is Win XP Professional SP2 with all MS patches installed and with 1.5.4 Guest Additions installed, ACPI disabled, APIC disabled.

Virtual Box is 1.5.4 Ubuntu Gutsy amd64, upgraded from 1.5.2 via Synaptic, after adding the appropriate source and signature.
