| #9569 | fixed | use --binary option to create checksum files, as with text mode they fail on Windows | ||
| Description |
MD5SUM and SHA256SUM default to text mode on Linux, but as Virtualbox downloads are binaries the option "--binary" should be used. Binary checksums are marked with a star inside the checksum file. This avoids problems on other platforms, e.g. Windows, with different EOL settings (text mode). | Description |
sorry for my pool english. I have a usbkey device ,a Gentoo host installed VirtualBox-3.1.0-55467-Linux_x86.run and winxp guest, this device can attatch but can't work, then I unpack virtualbox-3.1_3.1.0-55467_Debian_lenny_i386.deb and replace /opt/VirtualBox/VBoxDD.so with file "VBoxDD.so" that unpack from Debian_lenny_i386.deb; do a symlink /usr/lib/virtualbox to /opt/VirtualBox, this usbkey device work fine. |
