#5009 obsolete GNOME Won't Load Post 3.0.6-r52128 Install => 3D issue Martin
Description

This looks like perhaps a GNOME issue, but I thought I'd make you aware. (note, I did not find anything similar in the forums, apologies in advance if it's a duplicate issue).

After updating from 3.0.4 to 3.0.6, the kernel and all modules appear to load properly. I'm presented with the Fedora 11 login screen (not slim). After entering password and attempting to load GNOME DE, the system attempts to load the DE, but pops me right back to the login screen.

I AM able to successfully load LXDE.

So, like I said, looks like a possible GNOME issue, but this is the behavior I'm experiencing after the VBox update. I'm attaching /var/log/messages relevant to this.

#5016 obsolete guest freezes when using shared folders and the guest has more than one processor assigned to it Marcus Schätzle
Description

I refer to this post http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=19139, Sander van Leeuwen suggested opening a new ticket, and actually I found no ticket for this yet (I might be mistaken).

In my case, when I assign more than one processor to my Linux guests (Windows XP host), the guest will freeze when copying a large file from the host to the guest via shared folders. I can reproduce this via copying a thunderbird tar file (about 300 MB) from the shared folder to my home folder. The guest will more or less freeze instantly. Last time I tested this was with a Ubuntu 9.04 guest, but it happened also on a Gentoo guest. The guest freeze happens also when I simply access folders inside the shared folder. It may work for a while, but after a couple of tries it will freeze again. When I leave it to one processor assigned to the guest, these freezes do not occur.

#5027 obsolete VirtualBOX 3.X.X Host-Only-Network-Connection crashes Live Messenger 2009 video Thorsten
Description

Hello!

My Host OS is Windows Vista 64 Ultimate SP2.

VirtualBOX installs a VirtualBOX-Host-Only-Network-Conection. This network conection crashes the Windows Live Messenger video conection. The Windows Live Messenger show this message: "Messenger is not availible. Please try again later. (0x8ac70013)"

If the VirtualBOX-Host-Only-Network-Conection is disable the Windows Live Messenger video conection works smoothly.

Best regards, Thorsten :-)
