#446 fixed clonevdi deletes the target file if it already exists gbuonfiglio
Description

When cloning a vdi file using "VBoxManage clonevdi" it deletes the target file if it already exists.
When issuing:
$ VBoxManage clonevdi 7e10f139-5844-4735-169f-a96813bd6068 w2ktim2.vdi
The output is:
VirtualBox Command Line Management Interface Version 1.4.0
(C) 2005-2007 innotek GmbH
All rights reserved.

Error: failed to clone disk image. Error message: Could not copy the hard disk image '/home/vms1/.VirtualBox/VDI/w2ktim1.vdi' to '/home/vms1/.VirtualBox/VDI/w2ktim2.vdi' (VERR_ALREADY_EXISTS)

At this point the target file is already deleted. Issuing a new clonevdi continues. At least I did it for the right image... ;-)
$ VBoxManage clonevdi 7e10f139-5844-4735-169f-a96813bd6068 w2ktim2.vdi

#447 wontfix [feature request] fullscreen switching: resize host to match guest resolution -> won't implement papayo
Description

I really cannot get the full screen mode working.

I have VB 1.4.0 on a WinXP SP2 host and a WinXP SP2 guest. Guest additions installed. Screen resolutions: Host: 1920x1200 Guest: 1024x768

For "full screen" I mean the guest to extend over the entire host screen, keeping its 1024x768 resolution. (much the same of what happens with VMWare Server)

Instead, with VirtualBox, when I switch the guest to full screen (HOST-F), what I get is a small 1024x768 window in the middle of a black 1920x1200 window.

I tried to play with both HOST-A (adjust window size) and HOST-G (auto resize Guest Display) but no change. (see jpg attached)

Regards, Papayo

#448 duplicate file names from shared folders are case-sensitive Ldx
Description

Hi all.

My configuration is:

  • Host Kubuntu Feisty 7.04
  • Guest Windows 2000 Service Pack 4
  • VirtualBox 1.4.0 (patched with recent shared folders fix VBoxSF.zip shared folder redirector driver)

I have a problem with shared folders: in the guest OS (Win2000), file names got from shared folders are case-sensitive, resulting in troubles with many programs.

Is there the possibility to make the mounted shared folders filesystems case-insensitive (like in Samba, for example)?

Thank you. Aldo.
