| #10774 | duplicate | more than two serial ports | ||
| Description |
It seems that VirtualBox cannot support more than 2 serial ports per virtual machine. This limitation severly hampers the usefulness of VirtualBox for my applications. I run Suse 12.1 guest on Windows 7. The Windows 7 has 1 onboard serial port and two pci serial ports. I can only use 2 of the serial port at a time and tried manually changing the config file but it always defaults back to only 2 uarts or serial ports. Is there any way that you can specify more that 2 serial port for Virtualbox.... I tried using USB serial ports, but they are buggy and keep on re-enumirating and dissapearing from the guest. |

| #13266 | fixed | Error relaunching VirtualBox VM | ||
| Description |
I am running VirtualBox on a Windows 8.1 64-bit laptop, and after creating a simple machine, cannot start it. I have looked for the Virtual Machine log and it has not even created one. I have attached the VBoxSvc.log. The error displayed is; Error relaunching VirtualBox VM process: 5 Command line: '81954AF5-4D2F-31EB-A142- B7AF187A1C41 -suplib-2ndchild --comment CentOS --startvm 4d73511e-6f81-413b- a182-269a6994aeda --no-startvm- errormsgbox' (rc=-104) |
