| #1761 | fixed | vbox 1.5.6 sudden screen garbling | ||
| Description |
I was using a w2k vm inside a vbox 1.5.6 under linux. Only firefox 2.0.14 was open in the vm, with some open tabs . Nothing was going on since I was reading the content of the tabs. All of a sudden the screen went garbled, horizontal stripes of black and green and I could not do anything to get it back to normal. I shut it down with ACPI shutdown, and it came back on after that. I include the log for that vm in hope that it can help. |

| #1552 | duplicate | vbox 1.5.6 crashes on boot after RHAS3 32bit installation | ||
| Description |
I installed RHAS3 (kernel 2.4.21-50 SMP) VMusinv vbox 1.5.6. The installation went fine and all, but as soon as the OS booted from /boot, it went into GURU_MEDITATION state :) and crashed. I personally thought the icon of a Vedic Rishi meditating was very interesting, as it is from my culture. Interestingly, SLES9 and Ubuntu installs and subsequent restarts went through fine with vbox 1.5.6. Anyhows, the vbox.log and vbox.png are attached here. Please let me know the next steps. |
