| #4539 | obsolete | Guest Additions causing app in Guest OS to fail when accessing shared drive | ||
| Description |
Hello I am reporting a bug when Guest Additions is installed. I have tried the end user forums for a solution for several weeks without finding a successful solution. I am trying run an application that connects to a Pervasive.SQL database. Both the Pervasive.SQL 8.6 software and the application are installed locally. I did the following:
"Cannot create system lock file: ./TEMP/SYSLCK.DAT. File status: 9/004, Btrieve status: 11"
The above steps were done when trying to isolate what causes the problem. Ideally, we want to run the application on a server via a mapped drive letter which connects to the Pervasive.SQL database on the server. The application also works perfectly in this configuration as long as the Guest Additions is not installed. We have tried this with the Virtual Box v2.2.0 and v2.2.2 and with Guest Additions versions 2.2.2, 2.2.0, 2.0.0 and 1.6.0. The same problem occurred. This was originally reported under trouble ticket 4093 more than 2 months ago. We received no response. Since then I have tried it with VirtualBox 3.0.0 and the same problem remains. I am creating a new ticket and placing it under the Guest Additions component. Regards, |

| #4542 | obsolete | WinXP SP3 guest on Ubuntu904, Pantech Duo (C1820) cannot reconnect, not in lsusb | ||
| Description |
I have VB302 setup to filter "(PANTECH CO., LTD.) Generic RNDIS (PANTECH CO., LTD.)" to my guest WinXP SP3. On my host, "lsusb -vvvvv -s 3:9" gives me the attached lsusb.txt. When I attach the USB device, the WinXP guest sees it but then errors on connecting to Activesync and does not show a "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the system tray. So, I unplug the device and plug it back in so WinXP and try again but this time the connection is not recognized. WinXP doesn't register the connection, VB302 does not list it as a USB device, and running lsusb on my Ubuntu host does not list the device. To fix the non-recognize issue, I restart the USB device (it's a phone). If I reconnect after shutting down VB302, the USB device is still not recognized. If I connect and reconnect and reconnect the USB device without VB302 running, it is always recognized. |

| #4543 | obsolete | df command/process killed on SLES10 when using Shared Folders | ||
| Description |
I'm running VBox 3.0.2 with OpenSUSE 11.0@x86_64 as host and SLES10SP2@x86_64 as a guest and everytime I mount a shared folder I can't use the "df" command. It stops before printing information about the mounted shared folder. The last line printed on console is: "Finished (killed)". |
