| #4280 | obsolete | Explerer gone really slow after installing VBox | ||
| Description |
I tried installing VBox 2.2.4-47978 on Intel 3 GHz, 4GB RAM, WinXP SP3 and dualcore server running WinServer 2003 with all updates. The result was a very slow load of the windows explorer. I did not start any virual machines. Just installed VBox and then I have to wait around 20 seconds to view My Computer info after pressing winKey+e (call the explorer). On the server it was a little bit faster - around 15 seconds, but the slowdown was really unexpected. After uninstallation of Vbox everything works fast as expected. I don`t know how this is happening but that is. |

| #4281 | obsolete | Newly hotplugged USB devices didn't auto-attached to guest system | ||
| Description |
I have a Debian Lenny AMD64 and Windows XP as guest. I need auto-attach all plugged in USB devices (USB Flash drives) to the guest system without any actions on the host system. I have setted up an empty filter for USB devices and all free USB devices are automatically attached to the WinXP guest when I start it. For example, USB Flash drive. But if I disconnect this device from host and connect again, Virtualbox didn't attach it again, I need to manually attach it via Devices menu. I try to create a filter for this device with any of remote states (yes, no, any), create empty filters or filters for all other devices, but nothing helps. How I can configure Virtualbox for automatic attaching usb device to working guest machine when it plugged in to host computer? |

| #4286 | obsolete | can't attach USB device | ||
| Description |
I tried to attach an USB Kobil smartcard reader to a windows guest OS. VirtualBox complains about the device being used by someone else. (Which sounds like some process holding a lock on it to me) The detailed message is: Fehlercode: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005) Komponente: HostUSBDevice Interface: IHostUSBDevice {173b4b44-d268-4334-a00d-b6521c9a740a} Callee: IConsole {9511bc54-15ee-4ddf-808e-472aba03809c} I also tried this with the "Parallels Desktop": There it works. Note: Attaching the device results also in an error reported on the MacOS console: USBF: 12675.455 AppleUSBUHCI[0x2bae000]::Found a transaction past the completion deadline on bus 0x1d, timing out!
