| #4271 | obsolete | Rendering problem in Windows guests | ||
| Description |
I have installed VBox 3.0 beta on Ubuntu 9.04 and enabled compiz. After installing Windows XP as guest, it worked well. After reboot of my host, I've got strange rendering problems, right after starting of the guest. You can see it on this screenshot http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/7203/vbox.png Temporary solution is to start with VBoxSDL --startvm, then it works properly, without rendering problem. Some system data: Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 Nvidia 8800GT |

| #4279 | obsolete | LPT option in the configuration file | ||
| Description |
I noticed that LPT support does indeed exist but is somewhat untested, there is a hugh demand for that for old parallel dongles, right now this is the only thing that is keeping me from using virtualbox and apparently I would have to stick to the old broken hardware which costs money to repair. when trying to enable the LPT support, I get this error : Parellel device 0 cannot attach to host driver (VERR_PDM_DRIVER_NOT_FOUND) result code: E_FAIL (0x80004005) Component: IConsole Interface: IConsole Attached is the VBox.log, please do adress this issue, I have seen many people looking for this kind of support from Virtualbox. |
