| #12291 | duplicate | 4.3.2 PATM VERR_SSM_LOADED_TOO_MUCH when resuming from snapshot => Fixed in SVN | ||
| Description |
I use BOINC on my Windows 8.1 x64 machine, to work on Test4Theory VM tasks (Linux 2.6 client VMs), and we're having a problem resuming snapshots. Essentially, it looks like there's an error when PATM is loading, something about: !pSSM->u.Read.fEndOfData .... resulting in VERR_SSM_LOADED_TOO_MUCH Log of error: 00:00:01.505325 AssertLogRel D:\tinderbox\win-4.3\src\VBox\VMM\VMMR3\SSM.cpp(6212) int __cdecl ssmR3DataReadBufferedV2(struct SSMHANDLE *,void *,unsigned __int64): !pSSM->u.Read.fEndOfData 00:00:01.505340 cbBuf=1SSM: LoadExec failed for 'PATM' instance #0 (version 55, pass 0xffffffff): VERR_SSM_LOADED_TOO_MUCH 00:00:01.505382 VMSetError: D:\tinderbox\win-4.3\src\VBox\VMM\VMMR3\SSM.cpp(8275) int __cdecl ssmR3LoadExecV2(struct VM *,struct SSMHANDLE *); rc=VERR_SSM_LOADED_TOO_MUCH 00:00:01.505385 VMSetError: Failed to load unit 'PATM' I'm positive we did not have this error in 4.2.16, and I'm pretty sure that my testing shows we did not have it in 4.2.18 or 4.3.0 either. Did the 4.3.2 release break something here? |

| #12319 | fixed | 4.3.2 does not login to Gnome desktop (regression) -> fixed in 4.1.x and later as of 12 Nov 2013 | ||
| Description |
Host: Fedora 19 x86_64 Graphics: NVIDIA 9600 GT Driver: Proprietary NVIDIA driver - 325.15 Guest: Fedora 18 x86_64 3D support worked well under VBox 4.3.0. I was able to log into a Gnome desktop session and use the system normally. After the upgrade to 4.3.2 (and upgrading the additions) I get a "Oops something as gone wrong" message from Gnome and I cannot login to a desktop session. Downgrading VBox (and the additions) allows me to log in again. I am attaching the VM log files for 4.3.0 and 4.3.2. |

| #12342 | fixed | 4.3.2-90405 Guest Windows 8.1 Additions/WDDM autoresize | ||
| Description |
This release mention something about fixing video auto-scaling but on the 4.3.2-90405 Guest Addon for Win8.1 the experiment 3D box is checked and greyed out so you can't change it. I heard there was a version (i think 4.2.16) that was supposed to work but the bug persists. Also effects the other video modes (seemless, etc.. not working). Windows Additions/WDDM: autoresize fixes <-- (not fixed) In that WDDM.. should support autoscaling to a 1600x900, but the virtual driver had other "canned" resolutions for the video setting... I think the closest setting was 1600x1028 which cause a scroll bar to appear. Anyway dealing with auto-scaling, resolution still problematic. Works better on the Ubuntu 12.04 LTS setup (those guest addons seem to work better than the Windows side).. Sorry to be wordy here, but I spent many hours working with this version and ready to try the next fix, or find something that does work. Thank you. |
