| #443 | fixed | Some situations make VirtualBox think a session on a powered-off vm is being openned/closed and a full system restart is required | ||
| Description |
I was creating a new vm using the CLI (VBoxManage) instead of the GUI (VirtualBox) and I mistyped the "ostype". VBoxManage hanged and I hit CTRL-C to stop it. When I try to issue anything for this new vm I got:
[!] FAILED calling virtualBox->OpenSession(session, uuid) at line 3206[[BR]]
[!] Primary RC = 0x80070005 This is really annoying because when this happens I need to shutdown every vm and kill VBoxSVC. If I kill VBoxSVC the vms continue to work but I cannot manage them. |

| #444 | invalid | vm created using 1.3.8 when used with vb 1.4.0 files copied from shared directory change to directories | ||
| Description |
When I upgraded my Kubuntu 7.04 system from VirtualBox 1.3.8 to 1.4.0, the Windows 2000 sp4 client developed a problem. Using vb 1.4.0, when files are copied from the vbox shared folder to the virtual C: drive, all of the files are converted to directories. Using vb 1.3.8 the file copies work fine. I am using a Windows script (although it also happens using the Windows Explorer.) to copy several files from the shared folder to the C drive to be used by Quicken. The system I am running this on is a HP Athlon 64x2 5200+, 2gb ram, Nvidia video card, sata hard disk. I have also had this happen on a Dell 2.8ghz, 1gb ram, Kubuntu 7.04, ata 100 hd. |
