#4182 obsolete Windows 2003 unicast NLB - unicast packets don't get in ma3x
Description

Windows 2003 R2 EE as a host and a guest via bridged adapter. VBox 2.1.4 and 2.2.4.
The guest is setted up with NLB(Network Load Balancing) in unicast mode. Pings(and all other unicast packets) from and to guest aren't finished successfully. I try to sniff this situation with Wireshark on the host and on the guest:
1) On the host I see:

  • when pinging the guest - echo requests to the guest without reply
  • when pinging someone from the guest - echo request from the guest and echo reply from the destination

2) On the guest I see different incoming broadcast packets and outgoing unicasts, but not incoming.
When NLB is switched off, network is working good. I tried to change MAC address in the VirtualBox guest settings to the cluster virtual IP - no success.
I've found the same problem on the forum topic about 2.1.4 release but there is no answer. Do I need to downgrade to 2.0.2?

#4183 obsolete Make the background color of the guest windows black Nazgulled
Description

I'm a former VMware user and I liked the fact that the background window color was black because most OS's start with a black background and mostly have black backgrounds until the OS boots up.

The gray (on Windows) background bothers me a lot. Can you change it to black or maybe add an option for us to change to a color of our liking?

I know this "gray" color comes from the Windows settings but I'm not going to mess with those changing all other applications that use that color properly.
