#444 invalid vm created using 1.3.8 when used with vb 1.4.0 files copied from shared directory change to directories ttolstead
Description

When I upgraded my Kubuntu 7.04 system from VirtualBox 1.3.8 to 1.4.0, the Windows 2000 sp4 client developed a problem. Using vb 1.4.0, when files are copied from the vbox shared folder to the virtual C: drive, all of the files are converted to directories. Using vb 1.3.8 the file copies work fine. I am using a Windows script (although it also happens using the Windows Explorer.) to copy several files from the shared folder to the C drive to be used by Quicken. The system I am running this on is a HP Athlon 64x2 5200+, 2gb ram, Nvidia video card, sata hard disk. I have also had this happen on a Dell 2.8ghz, 1gb ram, Kubuntu 7.04, ata 100 hd.

#446 fixed clonevdi deletes the target file if it already exists gbuonfiglio
Description

When cloning a vdi file using "VBoxManage clonevdi" it deletes the target file if it already exists.
When issuing:
$ VBoxManage clonevdi 7e10f139-5844-4735-169f-a96813bd6068 w2ktim2.vdi
The output is:
VirtualBox Command Line Management Interface Version 1.4.0
(C) 2005-2007 innotek GmbH
All rights reserved.

Error: failed to clone disk image. Error message: Could not copy the hard disk image '/home/vms1/.VirtualBox/VDI/w2ktim1.vdi' to '/home/vms1/.VirtualBox/VDI/w2ktim2.vdi' (VERR_ALREADY_EXISTS)

At this point the target file is already deleted. Issuing a new clonevdi continues. At least I did it for the right image... ;-)
