| #4590 | fixed | vboxnet0 has 255.0.0.0 netmask => fixed in SVN | ||
| Description |
After installing
I get
Look at the netmask. That covers a good deal of the "real net". That should be ffff0000. Here is the story for people googling: This causes named to be unresponsive fail not answer. This is because the root dns it seems to prefer is within the public 192.x.x.x range, but those requests go to vboxnet0 now. |

| #3754 | fixed | vboxnet0 causes ndp,nwam startup to fail -> fixed in 2.2.2 | ||
| Description |
After installing VirtualBox 2.2.0 on Solaris Nevada (snv_111) these services fail during boot:
I'm not really sure why this is happening, but I've posted fairly complete details in this thread on networking-discuss: http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=99651 It looks like something doesn't like the vboxnet0 i/f. I've marked this "major" as it prevents network startup. |

| #9895 | fixed | vboxnet0 and multicast problem | ||
| Description |
I am running VBox 4.1.6 on MacOS 10.7.2. I have Windows 7 x32 setup as guest. My guest has two networks configured: NAT and vboxnet0 (host only). While I am developing my software I am trying to run couple services on host binding to vboxnet0 communicating multicast. The problem is I listen in guest on host only interface while other service is sending multicast in host everything works fine. But if I try to send and receive all on host on vboxnet0 it does not work. |
