#6344 fixed New DMI request DmiMotherboardModel xmaes
Description

Hello,

I have an HP laptop and i did some work on trying to install vista on a VM. The installation would stop saying that i have not the correct product.

I tried to change the system and bios dmi information of my vm without any luck. I gave a try to vmware and i could install vista after modifying the vmware bios. If i modify the Motherboard model in the vmware bios (with the phoenix bios editor), the installer recognize the VM as a correct product and let me perform the installation.

I looked in http://www.virtualbox.org/browser/trunk/src/VBox/Devices/PC/DevPcBios.cpp#L899 and i couldnt see any DMI settings for the motherboard.

Would it possible to add them ( i dont know how difficult it would be...)?

Thank you,

Xavier

#3150 fixed Obsolete property name in User Manual (vdifolder) => Fixed in SVN xlogger
Description

User manual section 8.18 VBoxManage setproperty states:

vdifolder This specifies the default folder that is used to keep Virtual Disk Image
(VDI) files.

However when I tried to run
VBoxManage setproperty vdifolder /some/path
it failed.

Apparently this property has been renamed from "vdifolder" to "hdfolder" (The correct property name is specified in section 8 VBoxManage reference)
