| #6344 | fixed | New DMI request DmiMotherboardModel | ||
| Description |
Hello, I have an HP laptop and i did some work on trying to install vista on a VM. The installation would stop saying that i have not the correct product. I tried to change the system and bios dmi information of my vm without any luck. I gave a try to vmware and i could install vista after modifying the vmware bios. If i modify the Motherboard model in the vmware bios (with the phoenix bios editor), the installer recognize the VM as a correct product and let me perform the installation. I looked in http://www.virtualbox.org/browser/trunk/src/VBox/Devices/PC/DevPcBios.cpp#L899 and i couldnt see any DMI settings for the motherboard. Would it possible to add them ( i dont know how difficult it would be...)? Thank you, Xavier |

| #3150 | fixed | Obsolete property name in User Manual (vdifolder) => Fixed in SVN | ||
| Description |
User manual section 8.18 VBoxManage setproperty states: vdifolder This specifies the default folder that is used to keep Virtual Disk Image (VDI) files.
Apparently this property has been renamed from "vdifolder" to "hdfolder" (The correct property name is specified in section 8 VBoxManage reference) |
