#3551 obsolete Running VM causes host CD drive to not work ebonweaver
Description

On a Mac at least, OS 10.5.6, VB 2.1.4, if you are running a virtual machine (Win XP in this case) and insert a CD/DVD it will not be read by the host or guest OS. You must shut down the virtual machine, then the host can read the disk. At that point once the host mounts it, you can boot up the guest again and it will be read. At this point, if you eject from the guest you can insert another disk and it mounts in the guest fine, but not on the host. The behavior inconsistent, and you should never have to shut down a guest to retrieve an otherwise stuck disk that will not eject.

#3557 obsolete 100% CPU usage on Linux host with single Linux guest Anatoli Sakhnik
Description

Running a single RHEL4.6 on Ubuntu 8.10 causes 100% CPU load on idle. However, launching another instance shows normal CPU utilization, near 10% on idle.

#3570 obsolete Focused VM Window Blanks Screen, Unfocused Window Has Pink Non-cliend Area dovidhalevi
Description

If vbox is actually going to start the VM and data is transferred, then the non-client area of the VM window turn pink and if and when this window has focus, the whole screen blanks. If I take the focus away, i.e. by hitting F12 which would drop yakuake and give that the focus, the screen comes back with the booting VM in a pink window.

Since the only way to stop vbox now is to kill it from outside (cannot get to the UI of the VM window), whatever it has done to the video settings remains and affects new windows!! Another program started will do the same thing. X must be restarted to reset.

So ... what is vbox doing the the video settings?

Happens with and without HW acceleration checked. Still happens with the 2.2 beta. Happened with win98 and reactos runs. I did not try others.
