| #44 | fixed | [feature-request] Ability to access real Hard Disk on Linux host | ||
| Description |
Software: openSUSE 10.2 Linux, VirtualBox 1.3.4 Full. Currently it is only possible to create a virtual hard disk (.vdi), but not access a physical hard disk on host computer. On Windows Host this is a lot of work to do - will require writing of a new driver. (so I won't ask for this) On Linux Host this is piece-a-cake. Simply let me access *any* file on my Linux system (as my hard disk image) so I will be able to install an OS on any physical hard disk, including USB flash. Qemu allows me doing that (last month I repartitioned and installed Win98 into USB). I need this feature on VirtualBox too. -Alexey Eremenko |

| #46 | fixed | Feature request: Branching snapshots | ||
| Description |
It would be great if snapshots could "branch" - that is, a snapshot could spawn more then one child, leading to a tree structure of snapshots. For example, it would be possible to mark a clean installation at some point, and then just create and remove snapshot-branches when trying out applications and such. I have tried to emulate that behvior by using VBoxManage clonediv to clone a disk image ("branching"), however, snapshot data was not cloned. If the above is too complex to implement soon, it would be good if at least snapshot data could be cloned. |

| #48 | fixed | Installation of USB filter driver disables USB Stack | ||
| Description |
Hello, I've got an Dell OptiPlex GX 620. This Machine has no PS/2 connectors anymore. That means I have to use USB Keyboard & Mouse. During installation the USB Stack seems to be disabled to install the filter drivers, but it is no more enabled after install. That means I can't control my PC anymore when the installation has finished. Also unplugging and plugging in the doesn't help. I had to push the shutdown button and after booting again I can work as usual and virtualbox is also installed successfully. |
