| Description |
Newly installed Linux guest rendered useless (for me) due to the emulated ac97 codec. Host: Mac, OS X 10.11.6 Hypervisor: Virtual box 5.1.2 r108956 Guest: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS I first notified Ubuntu about this, but learned that it is due to some changes between version 4 and 5 of VirtualBox. Seems to fail at communicating with right device, anysee.c uses dvb_usb_generic_rw, usb_bulk_msg never gets any data back... Using latest V4L drivers makes no difference (git clone git://linuxtv.org/media_build.git, make download untar). |

| #18535 | invalid | Ubuntu 18.04 Desktop on Virtualbox Windows 10 does not install | ||
| Description |
After installing VB and its extensions for Windows 10 Pro, I downloaded Ubuntu 18.04 Desktop ISO file and mounted it on the created VDI. Box loads but does not install Ubuntu and stays on a black screen with 2 small icons at the bottom and never loads! deleted and uninstalled everything and downloaded and reinstalled everything waited for 2 hours, still same.
